Digging in the Dirt!!

The children were delighted when Ms. Preston came to our classroom to help us kick off the planting phase of our STEM project. Who knew that holding fresh food and smelling it would pique their curiosity, use their senses and engage their brains? The I Wonder questions which developed almost immediately were interesting and showed that the children were fully involved with the activity. I cannot wait to see how these curious little beings continue to question the development and growth of their seeds and therefore themselves as gardeners and scientists.
